Ball Hosts Public Forum On Illegal Immigration

Expert Panel Invited to Discuss Pass The Plan, Arizona Law

6/10/2010 – Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) assembled an expert panel to
discuss a recent Arizona law on illegal immigration, signed by Governor Jan
Brewer on April 21st. The panel, which included Homeland Security expert
Mike Cutler as well as Ed Kowalski of 9/11 Families for a Secure America,
also presented recommendations for addressing illegal immigration in New
York.

“The black market economy of illegal hiring and housing casts a shadow on
our communities and our economy,” Ball said. “Illegal aliens are forced into
indentured  servitude  as  the taxpayers are left to flip the bill for
healthcare, education and incarceration. Our national immigration policy is
broken and patently unfair, forcing communities to take action at the local
level.”

Attendees at the public forum received a copy of the Arizona illegal
immigration law, as well as the federal illegal immigration law, so they may
make an informed decision.
