Brewster, N.Y. – (12/1/2013) – Senator Greg Ball (R,C,I-Patterson), Chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, issued the following statement regarding the Metro-North train derailment.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and families of this mornings train derailment. I ask everyone to keep the victims and families in mind throughout the holiday season. I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the first responders and volunteers who swiftly responded to the call. As the details still come in, we will watch very closely to inspect and digest the cause to prevent future incidents. I urge all those that commute using Metro-North to monitor the MTA website for updates on future travel,” said Senator Greg Ball.
