YORKTOWN, N.Y. – Daniel Marello of Yorktown Troop 911 was presented with a proclamation and congratulated by State Sen. Greg Ball Sunday.

Marello achieved the rank of Eagle Scout which is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. For his project, Marello created a recording studio for the music students at Lakeland High School. He also volunteers as a lighting and sound technician for the Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School theater productions.

On behalf of the Town of Yorktown, Council member Vishnu Patel also honored Marello on Sunday.

Marello, 18, graduated Lakeland High School and is a freshman at the University of Rhode Island where he is studying environmental science. (ARTICLE)
