LEWISBORO LEDGER: TOWN TO GET GRANT FOR YOUTH OFFICER

Written by Jane K. Dove

Thanks to the efforts of State Sen. Greg Ball, Lewisboro will be receiving an $80,000 grant towards adding a full-time youth officer to the town police force.

The announcement was made by Town Board member Peter DeLucia on Monday, June 25, who worked closely with Mr. Ball on securing the funds.

Lewisboro had a full-time youth officer at the John Jay campus in Cross River for a number of years, but the position was eliminated when the town faced severe financial problems.

Mr. DeLucia told The Ledger that details of the grant had not been firmed up yet but would be announced in the near future. (ARTICLE)
