If you are still without power six days after Tropical Storm Irene hit or had yours restored but still want to be heard on how the storm was handled, state Sen. Greg Ball, R-Patterson, is holding a hearing in Putnam Valley tomorrow.

Ball called for the hearing on Wednesday to investigate the storm response and “communication failures” following Irene. In addition to Ball, chairman of the state Senate’s Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, Carmel Supervisor Ken Schmitt, Somers Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy, NYSEG customers and other elected officials are expected to attend. It wasn’t clear if NYSEG, which has come under intense criticism from northern Westchester and Putnam officials and its customers there, will send a representative.

The meeting is at 2 p.m. at the Putnam Valley Senior Center, 117 Town Park Lane. For more information, contact Ali Skinner in Ball’s office at 845-200-9716 (ARTICLE)
