LoHud: Four-legged lobbyists have their day in Albany

June 1 - A number of unusual lobbyists of the four-legged variety made their way through to lawmaker’s offices today, all in an effort to push a set of bills aimed at strengthening New York’s animal cruelty laws. The advocacy effort was organized by Sen. Greg Ball, R-Carmel, Putnam County, and Republican Assemblyman James Tedisco, of Schenectady. Several advocates and lawmakers brought their pets along, including Ball’s Labrador, Hannah (who was featured prominently in one of the senator’s campaign ads last year.)
