I would like to thank state Sen. Greg Ball, R-Patterson, for his constant support of animal rights and the fair treatment of animals. I have known Sen. Ball since he was an assemblyman.

One of the issues Sen. Ball has taken leadership on, is putting a stop to the cruel business of “puppy mills.” Puppy mills house dogs in shockingly poor conditions, solely for the purpose of breeding. After their fertility wanes, these animals are often killed, abandoned or sold cheaply to another mill.

As chair of Sen. Ball’s Animal Advisory Council and a lifelong animal advocate, I thank Sen. Ball for sponsoring his “Puppy Mill Bill” S6093 and for sponsoring the second New York state “Animal Advocacy Day” on June 13 in Albany. (ARTICLE)
