Mahopac, N.Y. – (6/16/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) presented Justin J. Buhrig of Mahopac Falls Boy Scout Troop 271 with a New York State Senate Proclamation for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at Mahopac Library this past weekend.

Eagle Scout is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The Eagle Scout is an honor that is held for life and is said “once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”

For Justin’s Eagle Scout project he built a trail and kiosk at the Quaker meetinghouse in Amawalk. The trail leads to the gravesites of Robert Capa and Cornell Capa. Robert was a famous WWII photographer and Cornell founded the International Center of Photography in Manhattan. The trail and Kiosk provide visitor’s easy access and information about the Capa brothers.
