Albany, N.Y.—Senator Greg Ball hosted an Albany “Jobs for Heroes” Lobby Day the Capitol, to lobby for the passage of the “NY Jobs for Heroes” program.

The senator said he would like to see a 5 percent state contract for service-connected small businesses owned by disabled veterans come into effect. Governor Cuomo’s State of the City address supported the contract.

Lobby day was organized to encourage that the governor includes the “NY Jobs for Heroes” program in his 30 day amendment budget, said Senator Greg Ball.

Other states and the federal government have already successfully implemented this program.

“No games. No gimmicks. Let’s honor our commitment and work together to give our heroes the hand up they so rightfully earned.” says Senator Ball. (ARTICLE)
