Sen. Greg Ball and his staff will host a free community barbecue on Tuesday night in Valhalla in an effort to meet constituents in the new parts of his district, according to a press release from Ball’s office.

The barbecue will give residents a chance to meet Ball (R,C-Patterson) and ask any questions they may have.

The new 40th state Senate District will pick up the towns of Mount Pleasant and New Castle in Westchester County while losing Bedford in Westchester, western Putnam County and much of Dutchess County. Go to to see a map of the new district.

The barbecue will take place this Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Valhalla American Legion at 25 Legion Way.
