State Sen. Greg Ball (R, C-Patterson) and Mount Pleasant Supervisor Joan Maybury will join seniors at the Mount Pleasant Community Center at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, for coffee, cake and a discussion on the issues facing the senior community, according to a news release from Ball’s office Tuesday.

The visit is Ball’s first stop in the tour of the state Senate’s new 40th District, which he represents, the release said. The district includes parts of Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties.

“This new district is delivering 40,000 new faces, and I want to meet each and turn those faces into 40,000 new friends! I have quickly come to love these new parts of my district, and I cannot wait to deliver for both Mount Pleasant and New Castle,” Ball said.

The Mount Pleasant Community Center is at 125 Lozza Dr. in Valhalla.
