Pound Ridge_ BraunBrewster, N.Y. – 3/19/2012 – Senator Greg Ball’s (Patterson – R, C, I) presented Marc Braun of Pound Ridge Troop 1 with a New York State Senate Proclamations for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scout is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The Eagle Scout is an honor that is held for life and is said, “once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”

“There is a very small percentage of scouts ever make it to the Eagle Scout ranking and I would like to congratulate Marc for all his hard work to achieve this prestigious ranking, said Senator Greg Ball. “It was a great honor for me to meet Marc and learn about the composting unit he built at the Armstrong House. I look forward to great things from Marc in the future.”

For Marc’s Eagle Scout Service Project he designed and led the construction of a four bin composting unit at the Armstrong House in Pound Ridge. The composting unit cost over $1,000 in materials alone. Marc raised all the money he needed by selling glow sticks at the annual Pound Ridge Fireworks Celebration and by donations from Rings End Lunch in Vista.
