Mahopac, N.Y. – (1/26/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) and Carmel Councilwoman Suzi McDonough joined Mahopac and Carmel Seniors for lunch at the William Koehler Memorial Senior Center in Mahopac.

“I love the opportunity to spend time with the seniors in my community! I always have so much fun and learn so much,” said Senator Ball. “I am working to secure needed funding for meal programs and senior programs throughout the district, I’m fighting to freeze school taxes for seniors and constantly working to support the concerns of individual constituents throughout my district.”

The Koehler Center, which is operated by the Putnam County Office For The Aging, is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering seniors a hot nutritious noontime meal and transportation for those who need it. Anyone that would like to participate should contact the Office For the Aging at (845) 808-1700.

Councilwoman McDonough said, “I was very happy to join Senator Ball at the Koehler Center to hear the concerns of our senior citizens.”
