SENATOR BALL CELEBRATES DR. SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY AT “READERS ARE LEADERS DAY” IN YORKTOWN

Leaders are Readers

Yorktown Heights, N.Y. – 03/07/2014 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) joined students from Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Yorktown Heights at their yearly “Readers are Leaders Day” to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, students from Thomas Jefferson Elementary School dressed up as their favorite characters and listened to local community leaders read Dr. Seuss books. The day consisted of many readers from the community including, veterans, activity duty military members, local police, medical professionals and elected officials.

Senator Greg Ball had the honor of reading Oh, The Places You’ll Go to Mrs. Michelle Poandl and Mrs. Robin Anderson’s 3rd grade class.
