Brewster, N.Y. – 03/18/2014 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson), Chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs Committee, presented Karl Rosenfeld of Brewster with a New York State Senate Proclamation for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scout is the highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The Eagle Scout is an honor that is held for life and is said, “once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”

To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Karl was required to complete an Eagle Scout Service Project to demonstrate leadership of his peers while performing a project to benefit the community.

For Karl’s Eagle Scout Project he constructed two custom desks and shelves in the children’s section of the Brewster Public Library. Karl hosted a spaghetti dinner fundraiser to raise money to make the project possible.

Karl’s Court of Honor will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 2 PM at the Brewster VFW located at 262 Peaceable Hill Rd.
