Senator Ball Meets with Mayor Bloomberg on Homeland Security

NEW YORK, NY (02/03/2011) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) met with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Thursday to discuss the city and the state’s security. Senator Ball is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs.

“Now, a decade after 9/11, in my opinion we’re still not where we need to be to secure New York. We simply cannot allow the passage of time since 9/11 to lull us into complacency.”

Senator Ball has ordered a hearing of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs to be held in New York City in early March. Ball will seek testimony on specific deliverables that need to be reached to improve New York’s Homeland Security.
