Senator Ball Offers Support Following Damaging Storms

Brewster, NY (06/10/11) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) is offering support following a series of fast-moving storms that swept through the area on Thursday night. According to local officials, at least three businesses were damaged when lightning strikes resulted in fires, and dozens of property owners saw downed trees and power lines.  At the height of the storm, more than 7,000 homes and businesses were in the dark.

“I’m most grateful that no one was seriously hurt, that we know of,” said Senator Ball. “I’m reaching out to NYSEG and other local agencies to determine the extent of the damage. I will do everything in my power to help those affected by the storms get back on their feet,” added Ball.
