Mahopac, N.Y. – 10/24/2012 – Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C) is now happy to announce, that as a result of a three-way agreement between the Governor, Senate and Assembly, funds are now available for a $50,000 grant for the Mahopac Library.

Pat Kaufman, the Director of the Mahopac Public Library, said that the grant will be used to upgrade network connectivity to speed up wireless internet connection by increasing the bandwidth.

“Just because we are 50 miles north of NYC, doesn’t mean we have the internet connectivity we should,” said Pat Kaufman. We are very grateful for this grant that will tremendously help our internet connectivity.

“I couldn’t be happier to deliver this grant for the Mahopac Library to keep them moving forward into the 21st century and to help provide the best possible technology to the residents of Mahopac,” said Senator Greg Ball. “I am proud to fight to bring as much of our tax money back from Albany, to home, where it belongs. As long as I am in office I will continue to fight for Mahopac and for all the constituents I represent district wide.”

Senator Ball presented a ceremonial check to the Mahopac Library this past Wednesday.
