Brewster, N.Y. – (12/14/2011) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) received the highest grade in the 2011 Voters’ Guide, which was recently released by The Business Council of New York State. The Voters’ Guide measures New York State legislators’ commitment to improving the state’s economic climate and performance by scoring their support for key business legislation during the 2011 session.

Senators and Assembly members were rated for their stance on 11 two-house bills considered by The Business Council to have a significant impact, either positive or negative, on New York’s economic climate.

“I have always been committed to improving the state’s economic climate,” Senator Ball said. “During the 2011 Legislative Session myself and my colleagues turned that commitment into meaningful legislation aimed at real economic development. We lowered taxes, we repealed the MTA payroll tax and we helped pave the way for new jobs here in the Hudson Valley. I’m proud to say that New York State is back on the path towards prosperity.”
