Brewster, N.Y. – (1/24/12) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) is accepting nominations for his Women of distinction Hall of Fame, which will honor a woman from each town, village and city in the 40th Senate District.

“These women are heroes in their communities and all too often their hard work goes unrecognized,” Senator Ball said. “It is a great privilege for me to be able to honor these women and share their important, inspiring stories.”

Towns, villages and cities district-wide are currently in the process of selecting their nominees and will eventually nominate one person from each town. If you would like to nominate someone, please contact their local supervisor or board. Nominations are due by February 1, 2012.
Senator Ball will hold a ceremony and reception at 6 p.m. on March 30, 2012 at the Putnam Emergency Services Center to welcome his first class of honorees, recognizing one woman of distinction from each town.

In April 2011, Ann Ellsworth, Executive Director of the Putnam/Northern Westchester Women’s Resource Center, was honored in a ceremony in Albany, NY, representing the 40th Senate District as one of New York’s Women of Distinction.
