Peekskill, N.Y. – (9/9/12) – Senator Gregory R. Ball (R, C Patterson) pictured above (left) joined Field Library in honoring Peekskill’s local businesses.

Senator Ball was pleased to join Field Library as they celebrated a stunning achievement of longevity in the community. To commemorate 125 years of public service, Peekskill’s Field Library decided to honor local families businesses for their immeasurable contributions to the community over the years.

The family businesses honored were the Weeks Family, the Dorsey-Carlone Family, the Nardone Family, the Scaramellino Family, the Curry Family, the Poritzky Family, the Bertoline Family, the Lancaster Family, and the Dain Family.

The Dain Family was specifically honored for their exemplary lifelong contributions to Peekskill by many generations of Dain’s. Therefore, Field Library presents the Dain Family with the Chester A. Arthur Award for their civic mindedness and involvement.
