Carmel, N.Y. – (12/16/2011) – On Friday night, Senator Greg Ball, (R, C – Patterson), celebrated 30 years of successful business with the owners, the Feighery family, of Fiddler’s Green Pub in Carmel.

Offering a proclamation of good wishes for their many years in business, Senator Ball praised the longevity and example the pub provides. “Businesses like this are the backbone of our community,” said Ball. “It was for small businesses like this that made me fight so hard for the recent repeal of the MTA payroll tax. Businesses like this create jobs and promote camaraderie throughout the community.”

Since 1981, Fiddler’s Green Pub has sponsored toy drives, St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, golf outings and holiday parties, in addition to the normal sports events and food that are available at the pub. “We are blessed with an amazing staff, too many to mention here, but all have left their mark and continue to make Fiddler’s a home away from home for many,” said Tommy Feighery on the pub’s Facebook page.
