Poughkeepsie, N.Y. – (3/28/12) – This past weekend, Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) served bacon and eggs to well deserving supporters of  the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum  at  their annual ‘Celebrity Waiters Brunch Leg Competition’. The Celebrity Brunch is an annual event that is put together to raise money for the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum.

Along with 14 other participants, Senator Ball competed in the “Best Legs” competition, taking home the prize for “smoothest legs. “This is a great organization and a worthy cause,” said Senator Ball. “I was proud to accept the invitation to take part in this fun event!”

“Senator Greg Ball has been a loyal supporter of the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum,” said Master of Ceremonies and K104 DJ Bill Beale. “ As a participant in the 6th Annual Celebrity Waiters Fundraiser, Senator Ball helped the Children’s Museum raise over $20,000 by competing in the annual ‘Celebrity Legs’ competition.”

“Every year this event gets the community out and energized for an amazing organization,” said the Dutchess County Comptroller Jim Coughlan. “It was a pleasure competing against Senator Ball, and I look forward to a re-match next year!”

The mission of the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum is to “enlighten minds though a fun and creative learning environment where hands-on experiences spark curiosity, discovery and the joy of exploration.” The museum which is located in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM and Sunday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
