The Youth Awards Dinner is an annual event designed to recognize outstanding youth from throughout Putnam County. The honorees were chosen by a selection committee for their community service efforts benefitting Putnam residents.

“It is an honor for me to join these fifteen young men and women along with their families on this very special night. I would like to congratulate each and every one of the honorees for the hard work they have done for our community. I would like to wish a special congratulations to Patrick and Jenna who are both a part of my student advisory council, we are very proud of both of them,” said Senator Greg Ball. “One thing is clear, all of these young men and women have very bright futures ahead!”

The Putnam County Youth Bureau has the primary responsibility of advocating for the youth of Putnam County, according to their website. The Youth Bureau promotes positive youth development based upon the belief that families and extended families are the fundamental sources of care, support and guidance for children and youth.
