Mahopac, N.Y.  – (3/5/12) – On Saturday, March 5th, Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) joined Mahopac Boy Scout Troop 1 at their Pancake Breakfast Court of Honor. The ceremony was held at American Legion Post 1080 in Mahopac. Each Boy Scout that was advanced at the ceremony was also presented a State of New York Senate Proclamation from Senator Ball.

“I am so proud of these young men for their commitment and hard work,” said Senator Ball. “I look forward to attending each and every one of their Eagle Scout ceremonies when they reach that level.”

“Our Scouts appreciate the recognition from their elected officials and community members, and thank them for all that they do to support Boy Scouts, our community and the State of New York,” said Paul Manahan, Mahopac Scoutmaster Troop 1. “All of our Troop 1 Scouts work hard to advance in rank and earn merit badges while providing services to our community throughout the year.  I’m very proud of their accomplishments and encourage them to continue learning, growing and making the most of the opportunities that they’re offered in life.”
