SENATOR GREG BALL JOINS YORKTOWN 5TH GRADE & OFFICER FINN AT DARE PROGRAM GRADUATION

DSC_0044Yorktown, N.Y. – (3/1/13) – Senator Greg Ball (R,C,I – Patterson) presented the 5th graders at Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in Yorktown with New York State Senate Proclamations for completing the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program (D.A.R.E.).

D.A.R.E teaches kids how to recognize and resist the direct and subtle pressures that influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, and other drugs.

The Benjamin Franklin Elementary School program is run by Youth Officer Richard Finn. The Yorktown students who completed the program have all signed a pledge not to use drugs or join gangs.
