SENATOR GREG BALL PRESENTS MAHOPAC TEEN WITH HIGHEST SCOUTING RANK

Brewster, N.Y. – (1/10/2012) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) presented Daniel Marello of Yorktown Troop 911 with a proclamation for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at Elks Lodge 2324 in Yorktown on Sunday.

This is the  highest possible rank in the Boy Scouts of America. The Eagle Scout is an honor that is held for life and  is said “once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”

For his Eagle Scout project, Marello created a recording studio for the music students at Lakeland High School. Marello also regularly volunteers as a lighting and sound technician for  the Copper Beach Middle School theater productions. The 18-year-old is a 2011 graduate of Lakeland High School, and is currently freshman at The University of Rhode Island where he is studying Environmental Science.
