Carmel, N.Y. – (1/15/2012) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C –Patterson) swore in three members of the Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp at their Annual Installation Breakfast. From left to right the members are, Lieutenant David Jacobsen, Lieutenant Andrew Wiese and Captain Peter Jones.

Senator Greg Ball said, “I want to applaud these fine young men for stepping up and taking on this important role. Our first responders are the backbone of each municipality that they serve in. Without volunteers like these men before me, our communities would not be prepared for the emergency situations we face day in and day out”.

“The officers and members of the Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corps are all volunteers who give of their time to help community members in need,” said The President of the Ambulance Corp, John Koster. “Our members were delighted that Senator Ball was able to join us today”.

The Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp is an Emergency Medical System first response agency serving the Hamlet of Carmel. They operate two Basic Life Support ambulance vehicles from their headquarters located a 6 Garrett Place. Their primary purpose is to provide emergency medical care to the sick and injured in the Hamlet of Carmel and surrounding areas.
