Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. – 4/17/2012 – Senator Greg Ball (Patterson – R, C) along with the Business Council of Westchester hosted an economic development roundtable yesterday at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library.

“It is imperative that New York State and Westchester work together to improve our infrastructure to show we are all committed to local and sustainable job creation,” said Senator Ball, “job creation has been my number one priority since being elected, and I look forward to working with the Westchester Business Council to ensure these projects become a reality.”

As a member of Governor Cuomo’s Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE Commission), Senator Ball will be getting feedback from the Business Council of Westchester on how New York State can reduce the red tape that stifles small businesses and job creation in the Hudson Valley.

“The Business Council of Westchester  (BCW) looks forward to participating with Senator Ball in this important economic development roundtable,” said BCW Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, John Ravitz. “This session will allow our members, all of them who run different businesses, to have a good conversation with the Senator on what they feel needs to be done to not only help their businesses grow, but create an environment which will foster more economic growth in Westchester. We are pleased that Senator Ball is an active member of Governor Cuomo’s SAGE Commission, and look forward to reviewing the work of each state agency and look for structural and operational changes that will streamline the organizational structure of state government.”

“I think that people have to speak to their legislative representatives about what isn’t working and what they would like to have fixed,” said Grant Schneider. “I also think it is important for our elected officials to be at these local areas to listen so they can find out how we can make it easier to do business in Westchester County.”
