SENATOR GREG BALL WELCOMES NEW YORK CIVIL AIR PATROL TO STATE CAPITOL

Albany, N.Y. – 01/16/2014 – Senator Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) welcomed Cadets of the of New York Wing of the Civil Air Patrol Color Guard as they presented the colors at the opening of Senate Session at the State Capitol on January 13, 2014.

The Civil Air Patrol is the volunteer, non-profit auxiliary of the United States Air Force.  The Civil Air Patrol provides emergency services to the people of the State of New York, including forest fire protection, disaster relief service, guaranteed communications and aircraft emergency assistance.  In addition to these essential emergency services, the Civil Air Patrol also encourages activities to help develop young people into responsible citizens, which is primarily done through its phenomenal Cadet Program.

The Cadet Program, designed for young adults ages 12 through 18, aims to develop essential life skills and instill values including teamwork, personal integrity, leadership, respect, and self-confidence.

Assemblyman Greg Ball (R, C, I – Patterson) is the Senator for New York State's 40th district. A former Vice President of Exceed International Development Corporation, Ball holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the United States Air Force Academy, is currently completing his Masters Thesis of Liberal Studies in International Affairs at Georgetown University, and received an honorable discharge in 2005 at the rank of Captain after service as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force.
