Greg Ball.Philipstown Councilwoman and longtime community volunteer Betty Budney was honored Friday night by Senator Greg Ball as a member of his district-wide Women Of Distinction Hall of Fame.

Created and hosted by Ball, the Women Of Distinction Hall of Fame was designed to honor outstanding women from throughout the 40th Senate District. Each city, town and village within the Senator’s district nominated a woman to be honored at the event, which culminated with a district-wide Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Carmel on Friday at the Putnam Emergency Services Center.

Besides Ball, former Congresswoman Sue Kelly and County Executive MaryEllen Odell also lauded the honorees. Budney was joined by a host of Philipstown area officials and friends at the event. (ARTICLE)
