TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — New York State Senator Greg Ball announces his plan to introduce new legislation to rename the Tappan Zee Bridge in honor of our veterans.

Ball’s proposal would rename the bridge to Purple Heart Memorial Bridge. The Purple Heart is awarded to members of the armed forces who are wounded by the enemy or killed in action.

Ball is the chairman of the Senate Veterans, Homeland Security, and Military Affairs Committee. He plans to introduce the legislation when the Senate returns to session in January. (ARTICLE)
